On 06-10-2025 “ORGAN DONATION PLEDGE CAMPAIGN AND AWARENESS PROGRAM” was organized in Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College and Postgraduate Centre, Davangere.

   The program was inaugurated by Chairman of the institution, Dr. Mruthunjaya N. Hiremath and  Dr. Muktha M H, Principal.

         Dr Muktha M H emphasized the importance of Organ Donation. Followed by briefing about the functioning of National Organ Transplantation Program and National Organ And Tissue Transplantation Organization by Dr.Manjula M S, Professor, Dept.Agada Tantra and Dr.Vinaykumar D.R, Asso.Professor, Dept. Shalya Tantra delivered   a talk on Organ Donation.

   Later the program was ended with taking of pledge by all the faculty members & students.

 

     Few faculty members and students have shown interest and have registered their pledge online.

 

Blood Donation Camp Organized at Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical Hospital and P.G. Centre

   On September 25, 2025, a blood donation camp was organized by Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical Hospital and Postgraduate Centre. The program was inaugurated by the Chairman of the institution, Dr. Mruthunjaya N. Hiremath.

   On this occasion, Dr. Doddikoppad from Lifeline Blood Centre, the Principal of Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical Hospital and P.G. Centre, Dr. Muktha Hiremath, along with the college staff and students, participated actively. The youth enthusiastically came forward to donate blood during the camp. In total, 17 students and staff members voluntarily donated blood.

   Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Dr. Mruthunjaya N. Hiremath emphasized the importance of blood donation, stating, “Blood donation is a noble act. Every donor can potentially save at least three lives. Everyone should cultivate the habit of donating blood regularly.”

   The camp was graced by the presence of faculty members Dr. Salma, Dr. Shashidhar, Dr. Deepti, and Dr. Manjula. The event was efficiently coordinated by the staff of Lifeline Blood Centre, including Mr. Mahantesh Naik, laboratory technician Mr. Manjunath, and nurse Ms. Manasa, who ensured smooth execution of the program.

All blood donors were honored with certificates of appreciation. The organizers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the camp.

Report on Celebration of Independence Day 2025

The Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm at Ashwini Associations Ayurveda Medical College, Davangere on 15th August 2025. The entire campus was decorated with national flags and tricolour decorations, creating a vibrant and patriotic atmosphere.

The programme commenced with the welcome and gathering of guests, followed by the arrival of the Chief Guest, V. M. Vani, Dr Ravidranath G and Dr. Shankar Narayan. The Chief Guest, along with our Chairman, Dr. Mrutyunjay Hiremath, and Principal, Dr. Muktha M. H., proceeded to the flag post. The National Flag was hoisted, and all present sang the National Anthem with pride and reverence.

After the flag hoisting, a welcome speech was delivered, highlighting the significance of the day. This was followed by the Chief Guest’s address, in which he inspired everyone to contribute positively towards the nation’s progress. Our Chairman and Principal also addressed the gathering, motivating students to uphold the values of unity and responsibility.

The cultural programme included a patriotic song performance by students, which filled the atmosphere with emotion and national pride. The Prize Distribution Ceremony honoured the academic and extracurricular achievers of the year, encouraging others to excel.

The programme continues with presenting a small token of love to the respected elders from Voice of People Old Age Home, by our beloved chief guest DR. RAVINDRANATH G AND V. M. VANI. Through this humble gesture, we expressed our deepest respect, heartfelt gratitude, and warm affection towards them. These tokens may be simple, but they carry with them our love, care, and best wishes.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty, staff, students, and volunteers for making the celebration a success. Sweets were distributed to all participants, adding joy to the occasion.

The celebration was a fitting tribute to our nation’s freedom, reminding everyone of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and inspiring all to work towards a stronger, united India.

DIGITAL EYE STRAIN ON 09-08-2025

    Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College and P.G. Center, Davangere in association with Davangere Nethralaya, a unit of Dr Agarwal's eye hospital organized a CME on "DIGITAL EYE STRAIN" on 09-08-2025. As a resource person, Dr. Navya.C, consultant, Davangere Nethralaya gave comprehensive information about the ill effects of digital devices and how to prevent them. 

It was said that the 20-20-20 minutes rule should be followed. 20 minutes of work in front of digital devices and 20 minutes of rest. Such scientific information was explained in a touching manner. In this scientific seminar, Dr. M. N. Hiremar was the president. Dr. Mukta M. H. Principal, Dr. Gnaneshwar L. M. Vice Principal, organizers Dr. Santosh P. B. and Dr. Vindhya Keshav and other dignitaries were present. Then a free eye check-up camp was held. Teaching and non-teaching staff and students participated enthusiastically in this camp.

 

 

 

 

 

WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK CELEBRATION ON 07-08-2025

CME ON CLINICAL IMPORTANCE OF EFFECTIVE BREASTFEEDING

   As part of Breastfeeding Week celebration 2025, the Department of Kaumarabhritya, Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College & P.G. Centre, Davanagere, organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on the theme "Clinical Importance of Effective Breastfeeding".

The resource person, Dr. Chandrashekhara K. M., delivered an insightful session highlighting the physiological, nutritional, and emotional benefits of breastfeeding, along with practical guidance for ensuring effective feeding techniques in clinical practice. The talk emphasized exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months and its long-term health advantages for both mother and child.

As part of the celebration, 3rd Professional BAMS students presented informative and creative posters on various aspects of breastfeeding, including anatomy, physiology, benefits, and community awareness. The event fostered academic learning and public health awareness, reflecting the college's commitment to promoting maternal and child health.

On the occassion of Charaka Jayanti, In AAMC Davanagere Charaka Jayanti was celebrated on 29/07/25. Programme was conducted by the Department of Ayurveda Samhita &Siddhanta, Organized by Dr.Priyanka.H.C Assistant Professor Dept. Ayurveda Samhita & Siddhanta.

The function was started by welcoming the Guests Dr.M.N.Hiremath Chairman, Dr. Muktha.M.H Principal AMC College Davangere and Dr. Gneneshwara L M Professor Kaya Chikitsa Dept and Smt.Sumangata Bhat Samskrita Professor Samhita Siddhanta Dept AMC College Davangere. Function was inaugurated by Guest by doing Pooja to Lord Dhanvantari and Acharya Charaka.The prayer song was sung by students. Followed by Introduction about Acharya Charaka followed by  Samhita Patana was  done by student ,followed by  Bharathnatya dance by student and flute performance by student  followed by Shree Hari Stotra sung by students  and Prakriti Parikshan Skit performance by Students, followed by Gurashtakam sung by students. On the occasion of Charaka Jayanti previous day Dept. Samhita & Siddhanta conducted Shloka recitation, Essay writing competition & Quiz competition on 26/09/25.The Prize distribution was done for winners during the Charakka Jayanti celebration. Followed by Guset speech   and Charaka Vandhana song sung & meaning told by students. In the end Validactory function was done by Dr.Priyanka. After the completion of function Prasadavitarana was done.

The Department of Swastavritta evam Yoga of Ashwini Ayurveda Medical College and P.G. Centre proudly organized and celebrated the 11th International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2025. This global event, initiated by the United Nations and Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, was themed “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, emphasizing the holistic connection between individual health and planetary well-being.

  1. Chief Guest and Dignitaries:
  • Chief Guest: Dr. M. N. Hiremath, an eminent Yoga and Ayurveda practitioner, graced the occasion with his presence and enlightening insights.
  • Presided by: Dr. Muktha M. H., Principal of Ashwini Ayurveda Medical College and P.G. Centre, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of yoga in the life of every Ayurveda student and practitioner.
  • Yoga Instructor: International yoga instructor Mr. Thitharaj trained the students and faculty about yoga practice.
  1. Programme Highlights:
  • The event commenced at 8:30 AM with an invocation and lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address from the Head of the Department of Swastavritta evam Yoga.
  • A motivational speech was delivered by the Chief Guest, Dr. M. N. Hiremath, focusing on the integration of Yoga into daily life and clinical practice.
  • A mass yoga session was conducted from 8: 30 AM to 11:30 AM, guided by faculty and student volunteers trained under the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) issued by the Ministry of AYUSH.
  • The session included Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation, and Shanti Patha, ensuring participation from all students, teaching and non-teaching staff.

  • Over 200 participants including UG & PG students, faculty members, administrative staff, and yoga enthusiasts from the local community took part in the event.
  • The enthusiasm and discipline exhibited by students reflected the significance they place on yoga in their personal and academic lives.

  • The event successfully highlighted the essence of yoga as a tool for preventive health, mental well-being, and global harmony.
  • Participants reported a renewed sense of energy, awareness, and inner calm.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a senior faculty member of the Department of Swastavritta evam Yoga. The department extended heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, Principal, organizing team, student volunteers, and all participants for making the event a grand success.

The 11th International Yoga Day celebration served not just as an event, but as a reminder of our responsibility to maintain harmony between the body, mind, society, and the environment.
