The Department of Swasthavritta organized a Yoga Trip on 18-06-2025 to promote practical understanding of yogic principles, lifestyle management, and the concept of holistic health among students. The trip aimed to reinforce the academic knowledge of students with real-life experiences and hands-on practice in a natural setting.

  1. Objectives of the Trip
  • To expose students to traditional and practical aspects of Yoga and Swasthavritta.
  • To cultivate discipline, mindfulness, and health consciousness through yogic practices.
  • To experience the integration of Dinacharya, Ritucharya, and Sadvritta in a conducive environment.
  • To foster team-building and community living.

  1. Morning Routine (9:30 to 100AM):
    • Prayer and chanting
    • Asanas, Pranayama, and Dhyana sessions
    • Shuddhi Kriyas demonstrations
  2. Workshops and Lectures (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM):
    • Interactive session on Swasthavritta and Naturopathy
    • Talk on "Yoga for One Health – One Earth" theme
    • Lecture on seasonal regimens (Ritucharya) and mental health in Ayurveda
  3. Outdoor Activities (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM):
    • Nature walk with explanation of medicinal plants
    • Team building games
    • Discussion on Ahara-Vihara practices

Participants appreciated the serene environment, structured schedule, and opportunity to interact with experienced yoga instructors. They suggested extending the duration of the trip in future and including more advanced sessions on therapeutic yoga.
