Objective of the Camp

The primary objective of the health camp was to provide free basic health screening to the local community, focusing on the detection and prevention of lifestyle-related diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.

Activities Conducted

  1. Registration of Patients – Details such as name, age, gender, and contact information were recorded.
  2. Blood Pressure (BP) Measurement – To detect cases of hypertension or abnormal blood pressure levels.
  3. Random Blood Sugar (RBS) Testing – To identify possible undiagnosed cases of diabetes or pre-diabetes.
  4. Counseling & Health Education – Patients received guidance on diet, lifestyle, and Ayurvedic preventive measures.

Participation and Results

  • Total Patients Screened: 75
  • Blood Pressure Screening: All 75 patients underwent BP measurement.
    • High BP detected in:  30 patients
    • Low BP detected in:  4 patients
  • Blood Sugar Testing: All 75 patients underwent RBS testing.
    • Elevated sugar levels detected in: 22 patients
    • Low sugar levels detected in: 3 patients

Outcome

  • Early detection of hypertension and diabetes in several patients.
  • Increased awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups.
  • Provided lifestyle modification tips in line with Ayurvedic principles for prevention and management.

Conclusion

The health camp successfully reached 75 individuals, offering essential screenings and preventive advice. The initiative strengthened the college’s role in community health promotion and highlighted the importance of regular monitoring for non-communicable diseases.
